How does Ruta work?

See who's cooking near you today, reserve your plate, and pick it up fresh. You pay the cook directly at pickup — Ruta just holds your spot.

Is there a delivery fee?

No. Ruta is pickup only. There's no delivery, no service markup, and you pay the cook in person.

Do you take a cut of what cooks earn?

No. Cooks and food trucks keep 100% of their food sales. That's the whole point — we're built for the cook, not to tax them.

Are the cooks actually permitted?

Yes. Every vendor's permit is verified by Ruta before they can go live or take a single order. No verified permit, no selling.

I'm a home cook or food truck — how do I join?

Message us on Instagram @rutaeats, or sign up on the site. If you need a permit, we walk you through it for free — for most Texas home cooks it's just a $15 food handler course.

What areas do you cover?

We're launching in Frisco and Plano, Texas, and growing from there — one neighborhood at a time.

How do I pay?

In person, directly to the cook, at pickup — cash, card, or however they take it. Reserving on Ruta is free.
